La Pala Caricatrice riprende il modello #10.6 della scatola 10 Meccano degli anni ’50, e rispetta tutte le funzionalità presenti in questo modello pur con i necessari adattamenti.
Le modifiche più evidenti sono dovute alla mancanza del motore elettrico che è stato sostituito con quello a molla di bassa potenza, che è il solo prodotto dalla Mignon, alla differenza di dimensione degli ingranaggi che non sono la metà di quelli Meccano a parità di denti ma circa il 70% per cui l’ingombro dei meccanismi è rilevante. Infine le piastre flessibili sono tutte forate (fori quadrati o rettangolari) per cui simulano male le parti della carrozzeria (in effetti piastre di questo tipo sono molto più adatte a realizzare modelli di edifici).
La Mignon non ha mai prodotto pneumatici per le ruote più grandi, così come la Märklin, per cui si sono usate le gomme della Trix.
Il motore muove sia l’innalzamento del braccio che gli spostamenti avanti ed indietro della pala, mentre il rovesciamento della benna e l’abbassamento del braccio sono manuale.
Il mezzo è dotato di differenziale e sterzo funzionanti e di freno automatico sul verricello del braccio.

The Lifting Shovel is based on the model #10.6 of the Set #10 of Meccano ’50s, and meets all its features, although with the necessary adaptations.
The most obvious changes are due to the lack of the electric motor that has been replaced with the clockwork of low power, which is the only motor product from Mignon; the second difference is the size of the gears, that is not the half of those Meccano for the same number of teeth, but about 70% for which the size of the mechanisms is relevant.
Finally, the flexible plates have a central large window (square or rectangular) for which the aspect of the bodywork parts is not fully acceptable (in fact plates of this type are much more suited to achievement models of buildings).
The Mignon has never produced tires for the larger wheels, as well as the Märklin, so for this model were used the tires of Trix.
The motor moves the vehicle and the raising of the shovel arm, while the raising of the bucket and the catch release are manual.
The vehicle is equipped with differential and steering wheels and with an automatic brake on the winch of the shovel arm.
