La produzione della scatola 1A accessoria che trasformava la 1 nella 2 si ferma nel 1935, quando Meccano decide di dedicare la 1 alla sola elettrostaticità e magnetismo e pertanto gli esperimenti comportanti passaggio di corrente elettrica si potevano svolgere solo con la 2. A quel punto secondo Meccano, che forse vendeva poco la 1A, le due scatole erano autosufficienti e quindi si elimina quella accessoria.
La scatola in collezione ha una scatoletta della seconda serie (post 1935), ma ovviamente i pezzi erano quelli che servivano a trasformare la 1 prima serie nella 2 stessa serie (non c’è la lampadina, il portalampada e gli accessori, che c’erano prima del 1935, già nella 1, mentre c’è la calamita a U che mancava nella prima serie della 1). A questo proposito la 1A riportata da nzmeccano-Lhomme definita per il mercato francese mostra contemporaneamente la scatoletta della lampadina e la calamita ad U, che è impossibile.

The production of 1A accessory set that transforms the set 1 in set 2 stops in 1935, when Meccano decided to dedicate the set 1 to electrostatics and magnetism, and therefore experiments involving passage of electric current could carry out only with the set 2. At that point, according to Meccano, which perhaps was selling little 1A, the two boxes were self-sufficient and then 1A went out of production.
The outfit has the tin box of the second series (post 1935), but obviously the pieces were those that were used to transform set 1 of the first series in the set 2 same series (there were no light bulb, socket and accessories, that were before 1935, already in the set 1 while there is the U-shaped magnet that lacked in the first series of set 1). In this regard the 1A reported by nzmeccano-Lhomme defined for the French market at the same time shows the box of the bulb and the U-shaped magnet, which is impossible.
